[ Kageyama somehow is comforted by the fact that Cater stays close to him even if he's still sounding a bit too amused! It's sus! But... he takes a slow breath and it does nothing to slow his racing heart but he's okay with that.
Volleyball makes his heart race too. ]

[ He likes Cater even when he laughs when they're kissing. ]
[And he could go right back to kissing Kageyama, leaving it at that...but even standing there together like that there was still a bit of a chill in the air.]
How do you feel about taking this under the covers?
[ Kageyama hesitates, just a moment but well. In for a penny, in for a pound. He nods, slightly before remembering that wasn't a yes or no question -- exactly. ]

[ He's nervous. How could he not be? he's kissing a really really attractive guy and it's a rush comparable to being on the court. ]
[Cater's grin spreads from ear-to-ear. He hooks one of his fingers in the collar of Kageyama's shirt, tugging lightly.]

[He would do it, himself, if it wasn't the first time he'd ever been here. It was a small house, so he could probably find the bedroom easily enough, but figured it would also be good for Kageyama to feel a bit more in control of the situation, too.]
[ How is Cater so smooth... Kageyama's mouth feels a little dry because that simple tug just... does things inside him, it feels hot.
It takes a moment for him the process the other's words and he makes a soft noise of agreement before he's leading Cater the small distance to his room. It's pretty bare and sparse but it has the necessities. ]
[In the time that it takes for them to get from the kitchen to his bedroom, Cater considers his approach. He could push Kageyama down onto the bed and climb onto him...but maybe that was too aggressive. Ultimately, he wasn't angling to go any farther than cuddling, if that was where the energy took them.
So, instead, Cater strips himself of his outer layer of jacket, finding a good place in the room to lay it, and shuffles over to the bed to pull back the covers.]
Looks nice and cozy--the perfect size for two.
[He slides in first, not at all shy about it even though it's not his bed, and reaches over to try and pull Kageyama down with him.]
[ Kageyama's eyes stay glued to Cater as the jacket was shed and ended up set aside and then before he knew it the other is in his bed. Kageyama had never been in bed with anyone aside from Hinata and even then, he'd been in full cat mode.
But Cater's so inviting and so tempting. And he's managing to keep Kageyama from getting too skittish or overwhelmed -- at least overwhelmed in a bad way.
There's no resistance as he follows the pull, slipping into the bed after Cater. ]
[As soon as Kageyama joins him, Cater throws the blankets back over them and gets comfortable, slotting his leg between the other boy's as he fits their bodies together.]

[He considers leaving it at that, getting right back to kissing, but something about the statement makes Cater want to know more. Humming, he reaches up to run his fingers through Kageyama's hair.]
So, have you never had this kind of attraction with someone else? Or has it just never gone that far?
[ Kageyama very nearly turns cat when he feels Cater's leg between his, their bodies pressed close together. He glances away and takes an another calming breath because he doesn't want to embarrass himself and he doesn't want this to end. He glances back when Cater presses with more questions.
He stays quiet at first, brow furrowed but he's not trying to avoid the question. ]
There was someone but he left me. We only kissed once.
[ Hinata was his partner, his friend in volleyball and outside it they had been connected at the hip practically since they met. Then one day, he was just gone. His chest aches.
[ Even though he has that hollow ache in his chest he furrows his brow more when he sees Cater's smile slip away. He didn't want to make him upset. Should he have kept it to himself? He's not used to being this vulnerable, the other's hand is hot and burning on his neck but he doesn't want to get away from it. It's here. ]

[ He doesn't know what else to say, doesn't know if he should ask Cater more, or if that would make it worse. He hesitantly leans forward a little, his nose bumping against Cater's but he's not quite brave enough to kiss him. ]
[Tomorrow, they could wake up and find the other had disappeared, but tonight, they were here. That was what mattered, and Cater wanted to make the most of it. So, he closes the gap between them the rest of the way and presses their lips together again once more.]
[ The hollow aches a little, tiny bit less. They're both here, he's right. He hopes... he doesn't let himself finish the thought. He just focuses on how warm Cater's lips are when they press together.
It's hard to ignore how warm his thigh is too and his ears remain burning as he kisses back, his hand hesitating in the air awkwardly for a minute before dropping onto the other's side. ]
[Cater kisses Kageyama with sweet slowness, in no hurry to try and ramp up the heat between them. He brushes his fingertips against the other boy's jaw, caressing him with gentle movements. This time, it seems like Kageyama is a little bit more prepared to find a place to rest his hands, so Cater leaves him to it.]
